Worms in the Face

Hi All,  I dont know if anyone has come across this.  I have a worm infestation in my face.  They travel around under the skin leaving tracks and bursting holes into my skin.  they create glass like balls that split the skin open and move around my skin with ease.

I first reported it 3 months ago and the doctors totally ignored me treating me for a secondary infection that was caused by open wounds in my face.  They have given me 4 courses of antibiotics treating the wrong infect but totally ignored waht I was telling ithem about the worms.

The worms whatever they are are very sharp and whereever they travel through in my face the skin collapses, leaving it like plastercine and it causes tiny splinters that are as sharp as anything that inbed themselves in the inside and outside of my skin right down to the lowest skin level. My skin is also producing a clear sticky substance which feels like little shards of glass if I touch it.  All in all, it really couldnt be much worse except for the fact they have made a hole around my mouth which they can look out of.  I am totally sane!

I am in pieces.  I've been telling the doctors what it is and they have totally ignored me.  Even refusing to refer after an A & E i visited confirmed I needed to be referred as the lesions had been on my face for so long.

I discovered I had private medical care through my company which now thank god means I've seen my first dermatologist.  He's referred me to another dermatlogist that apparently knows more about things in the skin who I'm yet to see.  Even though he's now put me in the right direction, I'm not convinced he was sure it is worms.  I can pull 1/2 inch worms out of my skin bit by bit.  They look like thread worms and never come out intact, you pull little bits off of them.  It leaves worm shape dents in my face and they feel like little match sticks under the skin.  Nobody is taking me seriously as people dont really get worms in the face.

They have totally destroyed me skin and I have bad scaring.  I have never had acne and had no scaring.   This has all been caused in the last 3 months.  I dread to think how many are alive in there now they'v been left so long.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

you need to start getting real. Doctors don't believe you because its not what it is. You have convinced yourself that its worms coming out of your face when its not that at all.

It is fungas starts with over growth of yeast. I have found this out myself after going through the same things as everyone else on here for 7 years. I finally excepted it wasnt worms and now my skin is crystle clear for the past 3 months now with such little effort. I had leasions on my face all the time never would they heel. The sharp like glass things that come out your skin and hurt like hell they are a hair from the infection.

You are fortunate to get a medical diagnosis.

I've seen the microscope photos and video of live specimins extracted and ovum, so do not assume everyone has a fungal infection or it is hair.

What exact fungus did you have? Did you receive a diagnosis? What medical treatment did you receive (if any). Was this from a physician or self treated?

Fungal infections commonly occur with any type of skin infection. Systemic fungal infections are often hard to cure.

Any tangible information would be helpful.

Be aware that there are many who have real infections and my guess is anyone of them would happily go for psychiatric treatment and meds if that would cure them.

Unfortunately that won't cure 95% because that is the likely percentile that have some form of real infection.

Hi yes i had major problems with my sinuses still not great. My nose just constantly ran like a tap and it was white gooey stuff even when the temperature was 45c outside this is annoying. My eyes have been effected bad i have lost alot of my eyesight and now need glasses to use my phone . My eyes always feel like they have some coating over them. My skin had developed a coating all over my face only i could see it wasnt visible to others. Its not a simple fungus its real stubborn to kill . I used methylated spirits straight and wiped it all over my face with cotton balls it stings of course but put up with it . I also used straight white vinegar in the same way. With a fungus cream and a steroid cream over the top of fungus cream. Also antibiotics double dose twice a day called minocycline. Doxy did not work at all for me. 6 months on the tablets and dermatologist recommends another 12 months of tablets. I was convinced I had worms in my face it even looked like them coming out. I would argue with anyone that thought I was nuts . Doctors laughed and wanted to put me in a mental ward called me a drug addict and all sorts of things. I have now come to realise i was crazy thinking it was worms and how i convinced myself it was.

      good luck

Read this after posting a reply to your previous post.

It sounds like you still have an infection. Plaque coating is some form of biofilm being produced either by your body or by an infective organism - whether fungal or parasitic, that is not good, and loss of vision obviously a serious issue.

IF I'm understanding your comment, you are saying antibiotics multiplied the effect (made it worse)? If so, that increases the likelihood a fungal infection is involved because fungus is a common side-effect of antibiotic use I'm not saying this is what it is, but certainly an indicator

i am so glad i decided to look on here today. I seriously was ready to throw in the towel and let this take over. Im going to talk to my Dr about antibiotics and try some of the things you have mentioned here.
