Worms in the Face

Hi All,  I dont know if anyone has come across this.  I have a worm infestation in my face.  They travel around under the skin leaving tracks and bursting holes into my skin.  they create glass like balls that split the skin open and move around my skin with ease.

I first reported it 3 months ago and the doctors totally ignored me treating me for a secondary infection that was caused by open wounds in my face.  They have given me 4 courses of antibiotics treating the wrong infect but totally ignored waht I was telling ithem about the worms.

The worms whatever they are are very sharp and whereever they travel through in my face the skin collapses, leaving it like plastercine and it causes tiny splinters that are as sharp as anything that inbed themselves in the inside and outside of my skin right down to the lowest skin level. My skin is also producing a clear sticky substance which feels like little shards of glass if I touch it.  All in all, it really couldnt be much worse except for the fact they have made a hole around my mouth which they can look out of.  I am totally sane!

I am in pieces.  I've been telling the doctors what it is and they have totally ignored me.  Even refusing to refer after an A & E i visited confirmed I needed to be referred as the lesions had been on my face for so long.

I discovered I had private medical care through my company which now thank god means I've seen my first dermatologist.  He's referred me to another dermatlogist that apparently knows more about things in the skin who I'm yet to see.  Even though he's now put me in the right direction, I'm not convinced he was sure it is worms.  I can pull 1/2 inch worms out of my skin bit by bit.  They look like thread worms and never come out intact, you pull little bits off of them.  It leaves worm shape dents in my face and they feel like little match sticks under the skin.  Nobody is taking me seriously as people dont really get worms in the face.

They have totally destroyed me skin and I have bad scaring.  I have never had acne and had no scaring.   This has all been caused in the last 3 months.  I dread to think how many are alive in there now they'v been left so long.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Hi, my 33 year old son complained of the same thing. He insisted they were worms and he could feel them crawling under the skin on his face and were coming out of his pores like white pointy hairs. At first I didn't believe them I thought maybe it was a skin infection not worms, until the day I actually watched him pull one out. I went with him to the emergency room. They didn't believe us all they did was give him medicine for scabies. We tried everything. We finally used been oil. It seem to get better but then it came back. He used witch hazel on his face and he hasn't had a problem for two years now. It looked like he had parasites to me. It was a nightmare and I'm sorry for what you are going through. I wish you the best. B.perry

This certainly sounds like the tapeworms or tapeworm cyst infection. There are two meds to trear it. Ive gotten it from both doctors and off the net. Im not sure i can say the name of them on here. I had a post deleted and im not sure why,. You can research it and its easy to find. It was for me. It helps and works, but i havent totally rid of them yet. Good luck.

Where does someone turn when doctors don't or won't listen. I have been so many antibiotics of fungal infections and for bacteria infections. Doctors have ordered blood work, stool and nothing ever shows! Don't know what to do. Been on supplements too. Even probiotics. Been in hell for over two years. Lost over 50 pounds . Needed to lose the weight but not like this!

For your face get yourself some neem oil and apply it on your skin. It has a very strong smell but it will definitely help.

I had a similar problem with a crawling sensation in my throat for 9 months. Dr's thought I was for the psyche ward. After tests, two ops to remove cysts from my throat and epiglottis the histological tests came back that I had serratia marcescens, candida in throat. My urine showed e coli was antibiotics for all of these which cleared up but the crawling sensation in my throat continued. So I got myself albendazole 400 mg twice a day for 28 days as well diatamaceous earth. Presently I am in the two week period free from taking albendazole I can still feel the crawling sensation but not as strong. I am going to repeat my treatment either albendazole again for 28 days. I must mention that I do liver function blood tests just to check that the albendazole has not affected my liver. I also lost a lot of weight and felt really bad. I must say though that I am feeling better.

    Hi Nicolamc ~

I, too have been suffering from several parasites and the doctor I had wouldn't listen to me, in fact, she called my husband at work and told him to get home immediately because she thought I was suffering from schizophreniam She really isn't a doctor, either!  She's a PA but thinks she knows all.  I was furious with her when she took it upon herself to call all the drs I was seeing for my eyes, ENT, etc...and told them I was suffering from schizophrenia and it's caused by the medications she's on...oh boy, I did go to my pain specialist and asked him if this could be the problem and he said absolutely not that I had been on this medication for over 5 yrs and if anything, it would have presented itself much eariler. Okay, I did go to the PA and told her what he said and she just shruged her shoulders and left the room.  Thank God I'm not going to that women anymore!!

I did want to say that I get different feelings and seem to pull items out of my eyelids (underneath) feeling like very thin wire, worms, straight pins, and more...Now I know that it isn't what I'm explaining but it's hard to share this because all I can do is feel it, not see it.  The other night I was so frustrated (hence the name :D) that I tried something.  I collected what was coming out of my eye and put it in an empty container of chocolates...the only thing in the container was very fine chalky chocolate.  I put the things in that and low and behold, the chalky chocolate stuck to them.  Furthermore, you could actually follow them crawling or sliding up the sides of the container.  One is exactly how I feel it...it's kind of a U shape and feels (like you said) tiny splinters that I can actually pull off my eyelids, upper and lower.  When I pull them out, a worm follows.  Those tiny  splinters really hurt and my eye becomes inflamed.  I did go see my cornea specalist about this and she said, oh it's a stye and I knew that was wrong because I could pull those splinters out...I know what a stye is and personally, I've never had one but my brother's always had them.

So, now I am back at square one.  I asked her (the specialist) to please check thoroughly and she said she didn't see any signs.  I've had terrible scaring on my corneas because of that "wire" like feeling and I told her my eyelids swell up and break open on the under lid.  I try to get it out but when I'm sleeping, it seems to happen.,,I get a  scratch on the cornea.  I've had that at least 5 times and now she said this past week, your corneas look worse than ever, we may be actually looking at possibly a cornea transplant..  HELLO ~  are you listening??!!  It is because of the parasites NOT the disease...which btw is Sjogrens, Fix this problem first before we talk about any surgery because if it's not fixed, it will just happen again and again.

They say when you have an auto-immune problem, you're more susceptible to parasites invading.  I have two auto-immune problems...sarcoidosis and sjogrens.  It's not like I've been complaining for a short time, it's been 10 years at least..come on...puleeeeeeeeeze listen to me!

I'm just at a loss as to what to do.  I did read many  of the replies you've gotten and looked up a few items.  One, being, from Steve96451 regarding Bartonella and that added some value to my next talk with the specialist (cornea),

What gets to me is doctors don't seem to want to do anything outside their safe world.  They don't want extra work.  Then send us to another doctor that can actually help!

Our world is changing so quickly and many virus', parasites etc...have been unearthed with all the building going on. So what you may have seen 100 yrs ago is actually showing it's ugly face.  Why can't the doctors take suggestions from their paitents as they know themselves better than anyone...are they afraid they would look incompetent?!

Well, I've taken a lot of your time now.  I truly hope you can get the help you  deserve.  It is an uphill battle but we will win the war wink

    Regards,

    Frustrated61

Oh, one more thing, Nicola, that thread like worm, is it incased in a larger worm like and you can pull the threadlike worm from that?  I have that problem, that's why I'm asking.  Take care

Yes I am seeing my family doctor who I have seen for 45 years. He is past retirement age. At first he said he did not bleive me. Now he says he believes me but that I know best since I have been doing all the reseearch and he admits he knows nothing. However, has he ever even picked up his computer and tried to research anything to help me? NO. Has he ever tried to find another doctor to whom he can refer me? No. He is willing to send me for blood work and stool samples (which by the way I add many of my own extra check marks beside the boxes I want tested, he gives me the requisition sheet to bring to the lab). Countlesss imes the results have come back saying "presence of more than 3 microbes detected. Probable contimination. Please redo.". This has happened twice. This morning the nurse wrote on the requisition form to identify the microbes no matter how many detected and no matter if they suspect contamination. So hopefully something will be done. I have also added that I would like a saliva test specifially for fungus and parasites. Otherwise they only test the saliva for staph and strep.

    Hi all,

I just wanted to let u all know something i recently found that works for me & give a brief reason why, I think a lot of u maybe able to use this.

    For skin

I was suffering with flatworms (In particular flukes) I have been using a spray bottle full of water mixed with salt & bi carb soda & spray it on whenever i fell itchy. (Mix ur ratios's to whatever u like or can afford)

You can also bath in a bath like this too, I prefer cold water but u can use what u want...

Flukes are a fresh water creature & dont like salt water too much so this is a winner for me.

    For internal

A teaspoon of bi carb & a teaspoon of salt.

Swish in mouth with water & swallow, Again flukes dont like salt & if they are internal they will try head for the nearest exit.. The toilet..

    Best of luck to all...
