    Hi Trina,

I know how you feel, I have been on Zoloft a form of Sertaline for about 2 years i maxed at 100ML and recently decided to get off b/c i noticed a massive weight gain and my doctores aggreed with that.. I started about a month ago three weeks at 50 ML and not at 25 ML for about it week.. And it a total nightmare you probably feel like you are going crazy.. I dont know about you but i really feel like people around me dont understand like i am constantly tired now and the worst part is i notice i get angry very easily and i even will spend a whole day just crying for no reason.... But there is a light at the end of the tunnel i promise, when i first started zoloft i was in the worst state of mind and it took about two months to almost three months for me to notice my anxiety starting to become better. Truthfuly I felt the best when i was talking to others, hopefully you have a good support system at home. Some little things i think helped me was trying to talk myself down when i would stress or have panic attachs i would remove myself from the situation i was currently in. and talk to myself i would ask myself why i was feeling this way and work down from there.. just remember you are your own worst enemy so try your hardest to controle the voice in your head.. there where times i would even yell out loud telling the voices to shut up, sounds nuts but it would actually make me laugh :-) Stay strong and dont give up and remeber you are not alone.

Ya it sad how unless you litterally start acting crazy they wont help you... depression runs in my family and my dad wasnt getting the help he needed his also has high blood pressure so he has to use special medications.. and the one they kept giving him where not working and the ones that do work b/c they are considred "controled" they wouldnt allow him to have it insurance policies and all that.. my dad had to actually go to the emergancy room and tell them he would kill himself and then they finally gave him the care he needed.. it was so sad to watch and makes me sick how even doctors still think it something that is "all in your head" when it is an actual chemical embalance.. I was really happy to find this blog page just knowing people know how i feel is a big step.

hi amie, when you first started, what side effects did you have, and when you upped your dose, did you go through nasty side effects again, im on 25 mg then went up to 37.5 and im terrified to up the dose to 50 mg, i have extreme health anxiety and im also sensitive to medication, thank you.

Honestly starting off i didnt notice any side effects and I was directly put on 50 ML right off the bat.. The only one thing i did notice is you do become tired alot at first and also you will tend to eat more so just watch out for that. Otherwise I was fine and i actually uped my dose myself to 100 becasue I didnt feel like it was working at the time. One thing i am not sure if it was related to the dosing but i had HORRIBLE night sweats and i am 29 years old this seemed to happen when i started the 100ml. Have you had any night sweats yet? they also put me on trazadone to sleep at night.

Hi Trina that seems a quick rise. My doc recommended being at each stage for at least 3 weeks. I think Setraline helps a bit but I've now been taking it for 7 months. 200mgs for just about two weeks but still not good. Hope you have more luck.

      Hi Sneak,

Are you not sleeping? being on the zoloft alone didnt really help me i would dtay up all night just stressing out, so they put me on trazadone which has helped with sleep so much, sometimes just not getting the 8 hours of sleep can make it worse.

Hi sneak yes i know it seems quick but i had been on my previous AD for 32 years and the withdrawal has been horrendous because i had to come off fairly quickly due to high blood pressure. Hope you start to feel better soon i know it seems like forever but i know things get better with the right medication as my old AD proves.
