Worried

Had an MRI 2 weeks ago for my dizziness etc and to be honest didn't expect anything anything back due to kind of being fobbed off by 2 consultants. The last one asked for it and made another appointment for 6 months time. Anyway I've got a letter today to see him next week, to say I'm scared to death is an understatement. Has anyone else had this experience and being asked to go back to quickly?

Yes and it was normal. Don't worry. The bit where it vibrated made me spin and want to heave though. I told the MRI guy n he said it vibrates like that to stimulate the nerves. So I figure my MD is related to a trapped nerve or something but still to prove this

I fought this battle for just a few years. My ENT put me on all kinds of meds to try to control but my spells just continued to increase in frequency. I did lots of internet research and finally got a consultation with a neurologist at
UCLA. He told me basically the same thing someone in one of the other posts, try all of the drugs but you will probably be back. When I started having "Drop" spells where I would be standing and talking one minute, then the next thing I knew I was on the ground, dizzy, nausea and headaches that left me in bed for days I had enough. I had the MRI (2nd one) and it showed a small growth on my vestibular nerve. Long story short, had the vestibular nerve section, recovery was not easy but I was back to driving and work in six weeks. I was so thankful not to be falling over or not being able to drive because I didn't know when i might have an episode. I tried all kinds of prescription and natural remedies. The only thing that worked was the surgery. I had no complications, was home in 2 days and walking unassisted in a week. I did not want surgery because it is invasive and has possibility of complications but I am now so glad to be 2 years out without that fear of an attack hanging over my head. Try everything first but if all else fails, do your homework and find a specialist who performs these surgeries.
