Worried about bladder issues - female

I've had bladder issues on and off for the best part of a year. I have had spotting, I have had infections but right now the only issue I have is feeling like I need to go a lot or not fully emptied my bladder. I originally didn't think it would be a problem cause I assumed it would go away on its on - which was silly of me. I've also been embarrassed about it. I have had this issue of when I need to go, I really need to go - I've had that issue for longer. Again, I was too embarrassed to seek help. Recently my anxiety has gotten worse so I've been worried about it, thinking I've left it for too long and it's become something serious. Now I've been feeling physically crappy and my left hip has started hurting a bit. It doesn't hurt when I urinate, and there's no burning either. My urine is usually yellow or clear - I do drink a lot of water. I'm sure it's nothing serious to be worried about. I'm hoping to contact my doctor this week but they have few appointments. I just need to ease my mind and my anxiety.

Do contact your doctor. That will be the best way to alleviate your anxiety. You will probably be asked to supply a pee sample...just a small amount for dip testing. Your doctor may initially just talk to you over the phone. No need to be embarrassed. Doctors deal with this sort of thing all the time.
