Worried about child birth.

Although I am only 19 and definitely not planning on having a child anytime soon, I do still worry about the effects my LS will have on giving birth.

Has anyone here given birth naturally while suffering with LS? If so, did you rip and did it hurt more than it should? Will I have to have a cesarian?

I know it's too early to be thinking about this but it's something that really scares me and being an only child if I don't have children my Mum will be so upset!

Would be grateful for any replies

Natasha.

    Hello Guest,

Can I ask if you are based in the UK? I'm really interested in your experience - I've lived with LS for years, and am now pregnant with first child. Am meeting midwife for first time next week. I'm really really determined to have a caesarean - the thought of childbirth horrifies me after all the pain I have endured down there - but I don't want to sound too pushy either in case she refuses me.

Hi, yes I am based in Derbyshire. I am a little worried because my LS specialist (a dermatology consultant) said that I shouldn't need a c-section, that normal childbirth would be OK. But I'm convinced otherwise! My midwife appt got cancelled so no news to report yet, hopefully it will be rescheduled for next week.
