Worried about dexa scan results as iv been asked to go see my gp to discuss results

hi i had a dexa scan 3 years ago and it came back that i had osteopenia and was given calcium tanlets.i had another scan last week and gp wants to see me to discuss results they wouldnt give me them over phone. im worried as got to go tomorrow my question is what kind of things can be picked up as im so worried what has shown.

    A DEXA scan simply shows the bone density . perhaps the results have changed since your last exam. Maybe your bones are more dense because you’ve been taking calcium. Maybe you need to continue taking calcium. It’s not going to be anything life-threatening. Many doctors will not discuss anything over the phone even when everything is normal. They don’t want to violate privacy laws. That’s just in case they talk to the wrong person on the phone such as a family member. Don’t think worst-case scenario. Think of the most logical answer which would be what I just said. everything will work out fine. Take care and relax!
