Worried about my bladder

Hi everyone,

I have been having bladder problems for about a month now and frankly, I am concerned.

About a month ago, I passed a kidney stone. When I passed this stone, I had some blood in my urine along with some blood clots. So, I went to the hospital and they took a CT scan. The stone had passed and they found nothing bad. I had a white cell blood count though in my urine and they thought I had a UTI. So, I went on an antibiotic for 7 days.

This did not help whatsoever. I also received my lab results of a urine culture that the doctors did when I was on the antibiotic and they said that they found no infection. They just thought the white cell blood count was because of me passing the stone. So, I was puzzled but I finished the antibiotic as i know how harmful it is to just stop a medication like that, especially an antibiotic.

After finishing the antibiotic, not much has changed honestly. I still feel like my bladder is not completely empty often. I have those rare moments where it feels like I don't even notice the fullness or feel it. That's once in a blue moon though.

When it comes to my stream, sometimes I can pee a little and other times I have a fairly normal stream. I had what felt like a bad flare the other night. I had to go pee so bad 3 times in a row. Each time, the stream was normal. After this, I did not have to pee as much, but the feeling was still there. It finally tamed down enough to be bearable, but either way, it was not good!

There has been no blood in my urine ever since, but I cannot seem to think of the worst and think it's bladder cancer or something. I know that is more common in much older people, but I am just so scared and paranoid. I'm sick of not feeling normal and unhappy. Could this be interstitial cystistis?

So are you having pain? If you are having Frequency/urgency and pee often but in small amounts with the absence of pain, it's possible you have an overactive bladder caused by passing the kidney stone. That could have irritated your bladder and caused the nerves to go crazy and it can take some time for them to calm down. I'd see a urologist and see if they can prescribe some bladder relaxant medication to see if that helps.

No honestly. I'm not. The only pain I feel is these weird little pinches that come on randomly and leave very quickly. These do not happen though very often. It's like every once in awhile. I don't know about overactive bladder. Doesn't that come with not being to hold it and accidentally leaking out some pee? Everytime I do feel the need to pain, I am able to keep it in in time to go to the bathroom.
