Worried after opticians appointment - told I have a line at the back of my eye

Posted , 1 user is following.

today i went to the opticians and was told i had a line behind my eye when the bright line was shone at the back of it. the optician did not seem to think it was anything to be too worried about and said about just keeping a check on it at future eye tests. i cannot remember exactly what she said about it now, but i think something to do with my retina. apparently its seen with short-sighted prescriptions, but i am worried as i have also been getting frequent headaches. so i am concerned that maybe its something really bad.

has anyone else been told this before too?

should i get a second opinion from a different opticians practice? she did also ask her colleague to take a look and i was told the same.

thank you.
