Had sex with a new partner last week. I used protection, but about a week after and I'm experiencing a lot of discomfort and unusual symptoms. My frenulum is enflamed and swollen, and I have what seems to be abrasions or a red rash on my glans along with a white subsustance that comes back soon after i clean it off. Ive never had these type of symptoms before, is it reminiscent of anything serious!?

I suspect it's an infection, maybe fungal. Unlikely to have been caused by contact with your partner.

Take a picture. This sounds exactly what I had last week. It was a bacterial infection and I was put on antibiotics for 7 days. I'm on day two. The white substance is gone for me now. But the red white rashes on my glans are still there and are quite painful to touch I might add.

Thanks for the reply, I put some pictures below. I tried cleaning a few times with warm water but it comes back, and it's all extremely tender.

Yep Thats what I had. lol I could barely touch water to it to wash it twice a day. It was that tender. I'm on day 4 of antibiotics. And White stuff is gone. I let mine progress further then you. I had blisters develop from the infection but they're going away with the antibiotics. So go get antibiotics. It'll cost 10 bucks. and you'll be fine in a week. Do it before it gets worse. I can't stress that enough. lol It will not get better on its own. At least mine didn't. Mine only got worse. Good luck

Hello, this is nothing serious. You have a slight infection. Something very minor. It looks like it hasn't progressed very far so it's hard to tell but it may be a yeast infection or a bacterial infection.clean it with water- NO SOAP... EVER and get some antibiotics or, if you can't afford it, just take vitamin c and eat healthy. It usually doesn't take long for either to resolve but it can be persistent if you don't take care of it consistently
