Worried n need help, ?? About my "cycle" and PE symptons

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had multiple PE'S in both my lungs and a cluster in the center of my chest. I almost died 4 yrs ago. My concern is when I get my monthly visit, I have a lot of blood clots with it. I never had them or at least very few prior to the PE episode. I may just be over reacting, but I'm worried and can't get ahold of the dr that cared for me during rhe icu/hosp stay and the year follow up care. Does anyone have any advice, or have you dealt with a y thing like this. Sorry for the intimate personal details. Thanks in advance!!!

Jess 329, this has to be frightening if you are on a blood thinner and are STILL getting clots. Was the hospital in your hometown and does the doctor have a practice outside of the hospital? My hospital uses hospitalists but some of them have private practices. You should be able to get that name from the hospital and track him down.

One more thing Jess 329, do you have a pulmonary specialist and a cardiologist or are just seeing your primary care doctor? I suggest that you need both, but especially the pulmonologist. You need some answers but unless the doctor in the hospital works outside the hospital it is wasted energy to try to get answers from.him.

Family DR SHOULD BE ABLE to advise to be sure but if it helps I always had the most disgusting clots with my vists with Aunt Flo. This could just be a change for you. If it isn't making you weaker or lasting longer or causing more pain or discomfort than normal it could be ok.

    Hi Jess,

I experienced the same thing while taking Rivaroxaban.  The blood clots were so large that it felt like I was passing my uterus each time.  It was horrific and very concerning.  I would wear 2 maternity pads doubled up and still need to change them and my shorts nearly everytime I went to the toilet.

I was also taking Cranberry tablets daily, to help with re-occuring UTI's. Once I stopped taking the Cranberry, the blood clots stopped.

If you are taking any other medications - natural or chemical, they can interfer with each other.

I hope you are feeling well soon.
