Worrying so much about the possibility of having colon cancer

I'm 20years old, no family history of colon cancer, pretty healthy diet and lifestyle, but for over a year now, I've been worrying about having colon cancer, it started a year ago, My tummy was making alot of noise, and my bowels were a bit loose, it was like that for over a month month then it stopped(I saw a doctor did ultra sounds and blood test all clear), I didn't notice any blood in stool or any pain, only a slight boating feeling in my left abdomen, then for months didn't have any of those noises in my tummy, but I could feel from time to time that bloating feeling in my left abdomen, and my bowels were sometimes compeltely normal and sometimes softer(having bm's 1-2 a day), I developped a huge anxiety and I had for all this time(nearly 12 months) until now to over check my stool for blood, color, texture, shape, size... And sometimes (sorry for being graphic) I find some vegetebales peels(green, dark green, orange, and sometimes the most frightning red) if I see any red I pick it up from the toilet(sorry again) to see if it's blood, and most of the times it's just the skin of tomato or a vegetebale, but today, I saw something red but when I tried to pick it up and squeeze it, it was like jelly and dispeared in my fingers(really sorry but I'm terribly worried) so now I'm thinking it's blood even that I did eat alot of tomato these last days and it was only one, I didn't see any others like it(the other things were 100 % skin of veggies) what can you advice me I'm very worried I think I have cancer ? And do you think that cancer symptoms last for this long (nearly 12 months) without getting really serious ? Please I really need help and some relieve

I spoke with my mother and she know everything happening with me but she's not worried at all and tell me it's surely tomato rolleyes

Sorry for the long story but I can't take this anymore

      Hi

First of all your getting yourself worked up for nothing which won't help your symptoms the gurgling noise is excess has pushing through your colon along with your food digesting which makes the colon contract and squeeze and that's what the noise is perfectly healthy person gets this also the i digested food in your still is things that the acid in your stomach can't digest I honestly don't think it's blood or you have cancer at such a young age and cancers nit painful at first and it wouldn't get better but go and talk to your doctor and I don't know where you stay but you can buy kits at a chemist to check for small amounts of blood in your stools but talk to your doctor and you will find your are a healthy young man

      Take care

First off, go back to your doctor. Only they can organise tests to find what the real problem is.Second thing, at your age cancer is the most unlikely diagnosis of all. There are many conditions that can be causing this- stress and over anxiety being one of them. Also, the fact is many of us who have developed colon/bowel cancer had no prior history of symptoms- it's called the silent cancer for that very reason.

I was 16 months between diagnosis and surgery.

People on here can only give their opinion and their own thoughts. None of us are medically qualified. You ned to see a doc, thats the only way anything can get sorted. It's useless being afraid of going, whatever it is- even if it's only anxiety causing it- will not fix itself on it's own. Thats the only way you will get the appropriate treatment and any help you need. It seems you are getting yourself into a terrible mental state over this, so go to your doctor. TODAY!
