Chin up.

Right away you can take Ibuprofen or another NSAID and call 111 for advice.  But I guess you must go to ER...ASAP. It may be spine, sciatica, etc, so it should be checked, scans, Xrays, etc. Acute pain may be a "comorbidity" but it's not FibroM. I hope you get well soon. X

Yes I get my mag flakes from Amazon. You can also get a spray to use on painful joints. Have you asked your doc if there is another rheumatologist she could refer you to? The one I saw was unhelpful too. I got most help from the pain clinic which is where I was actually diagnosed. I take Pregabalin which was suggested at pain clinic, and Tramadol and Co-codamol as back up. The other thing that could be helpful for you is CBT which helps you to deal with the pain. Oh, hot water bottles on the painful area is another thing I do when pain is bad. Where is your pain? xx

I get bad pain in my thighs and hands too. The mag flakes definitely help thigh pain, although the relief is only temporary. I also use Algesal cream on my hands which helps. You can get this from a pharmacy. Good luck and hope you are feeling better today. I've got a UTI so I feel like crap! xx
