Worst migraine in 10 years.

Death would have been welcome this morning.  exclaim I had the WORST migraine I’ve had in 10 years.  Normally I get them during my period, generally day 3 and 4 if I’m going to get one, not before my period.

Well, the killer migraine was the onset of my period.  I threw up repeated over the period of 3 hours.  My head pounded like I drank a ½ gallon of gin last night.  I would have been fine with dying.  I thought maybe I was going to have to go to the ER.  I’ve heard migraines can get worse the closer to menopause you are……. I’m 51 ½ and still praying for the end to come soon.

Hi Jane, I really sympathize with you, I never had migraines in my life until this past year.. I get mine monthly now and so they do cycle for me .. I had a hysterectomy ovaries left, so can only go by the date of my previous migraine and they come right around the 11th or 12th of every month, and this month mine came early on the 2nd, and yes they are so intense they build up and build up until I'm nauseated like when you have tbe flu and start to vomit, I rock back and forth for like an hour or 2 then it slowly lifts to a more manageable headache which stays for another day or two, its horrendous... I'm right there with you I get them bad bad bad, like I'm dying.. I'm praying you get relief from it soon...

You need to get Maxalt they are expensive but clear your migraine right away . You can just take half that’s what I do . My mom sends them from UK as they are $50 a pill here if your insurance doesn’t cover them.

I also heard that if you have always gotten migraines then they can get better now. So let's hope yours will stop completely!

Also, the neurologist I saw told me there are two triggers needed for a migraine. So if you are hormonal, that's one. And then if you have: red wine, avocado, peanuts, cheddar cheese, chocolate, etc. that can trigger a migraine. Try to avoid the migraine causing foods and see if that helps.
