Would a nasal endoscopy show any abnormalities in the throat/esophagus are?

My mother is 54 and has been having difficulty swallowing for a month. Yesterday she was able to see an ent, who in my opinion rushed the whole thing, he asked about 3 questions and that's it. He then stuck a tube through her nostrils, which I'm guessing was a nasal endoscopy and said that he didn't see any abnormalities. So he just sent her off and told her to get a barium swallow which I will make sure I get her to do. Anyways I'm just in doubt if a nasal endoscopy can see anything in the throat because I was under the impression that it was just for the sinuses and stuff. He did not mention anything of what might be the cause although at one point I heard him say tonsils. I am very worried as my mom is of the age where the risk of certain diseases is high especially with this symptom she's been having. Does anyone know if that test has the ability to see the throats and things in the throats?

No she doesn't, she says she just feels it stuck in her throats and when she swallows she can feel it moving up and down.

So she had the barium swallow today. The Doc didn't say much, "looks good" but they always say this. I'm no doctor or anything but when I looked at the monitor there was a narrowing that I saw. Also another monitor had something circled which has me extreme nervous. We will go get the results next week, until then I will just pray and hope for the best

I pray everything's ok for you. Where abouts was the narrowing?

*Update*
I don't know who may be reading this forum. We got the barium swallow results yesterday and my fear of the worst is gone. Normal esophagram besides finding "mild gastroesophageal reflux." Got an appointment with a gastroenterologist in 2 weeks. Thank god I can spend these 2 weeks without worrying about what my mom is going through. Thank you for your responses in this forum, I appreciate it.
