Hi đź‘‹ I had a mild case of Covid back in December of 2020. After about 3 weeks I suddenly had what I thought at the time would feel like heart attack. My heart started racing, got extremely dizzy, my whole body was shaking/trembling. I was so terrified and called the ambulance. They came, checked me and said there was no emergency, my heart is fine, just elevated blood pressure, but also not to the point where it would be necessary to take me to the hospital. This is how it all started and only got worse. I did every possible blood test, computer tomography, MR with contrast for the head and chest. All tests came back clear. Thank God, of course. And this is when I was told that this is all anxiety. I started having severe chest pains. I was suffering so much, called ambulance several times and nothing. I had double vision at times, awful tremors, vibrations, you name it. I had it all. So I understood I won't be able to get out of this on my own and reached for help. I was prescribed very mild AD therapy in small doses and it gradually improved. By the Summer I was back to normal and no longer had those symptoms. But at the end of August, 2021 I had some sort of virus (test showed no Covid) and after that it all started again, only this time not as severe, however the chest pain you mention is one of the most disturbing symptoms and pretty much 24/7 for several months now. I also have cough and I had every possible test for that and it shows nothing. So I believe Covid has triggered something. Although I never had anxiety or at least I believed so, I might have been inclined to have it as I am very sensitive person and Covid may have just surfaced it. I heard that any virus can do that. You are definitely not alone. I have developed what I think is health anxiety as I feel I might have something very terrible and these thoughts just do not go away. The more I read about my symptoms, the worse it gets as I always find some awful disease that conforms to all my symptoms.
I just hope that we all become stronger at some point and will be able to win over the anxiety. Most important thing is to get to the point where it does not control your life.

Thank you! It was a living hell for quite a few months, yes, but the good thing is that it does get better eventually. We just don't know of long-term effects yet, like how it may affect our health in 10 or 20 years. Like with the Epstein–Barr virus - it's also a very complex virus which continues to reside somewhere in the system and may activate at any time.

I had covid a year ago, very mild, about 4 weeks later I started having muscles twitches, internal tremors, racing heart beat even while resting. I even went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack. They ran blood tests and called in a neurologist and pined it all on anxiety and covid recovery. I've been worried about having als or damaging my
nervous system ever since.. So I guess something must happen when you have it
