Would it be ok to take my steroids at bed time ?

I’m reducing from 40mg having been diagnosed with PMR and GCA

I have lots of dizzy spells and feel as though I’m on an aeroplane!

Lots of aches and pains in my legs

    Anne, I understand you want to reduce, but I would get the inflammation under control first. When the inflammation is under control then reduce using DSNS. I started splitting my dosage at either 25 or 30 mg and have been for over a year. Don't rush it is not a race. Try to stay positive and smile. I really believe it helps. ??

    It is probably worth trying - so your side effects are hopefully while you sleep. The only problem you MAY have is it stops you sleeping but you won;t know until you try.

    I also found a study recently that found it doesn;t make any difference whether a GCA dose is tken all at once or split - and maybe 2 smaller doses wouls cause fewer problems?

    Did the pred not improve the leg pain? Is that definitely from PMR? 40mg should deal with that easily.
