would like to use orlistat

Hi I am in the process of trying to get orlistat from my doctor, She has told me to chat to the nurse about diet and stuff, Which I am a pretty healthy eater anyway, The nurse told me to see the doctor, as you can see we are going round in circles.... I am very depressed about my wieght whaich I cannot sort out since i stopped smoking.. What do you have to do to get help from a doctor,,???????

    Dear Fastersunshine,

    I have just started orlistat today. Have just read your post of 24th and hope you have had some luck with your gp by now. My gp wanted me to have started losing weight before starting on the capsules, so I managed to lose 10lbs at a well known slimming group first. Hopefully the caps will help speed things up as I'm very impatient!

    I hope you 'check in' again and read this. Keep pestering your gp and if you can show him you can lose a little weight by yourself hopefully he'll give you a prescription. Good luck!

    Hi I found it all too easy to get the tablets from my dr. I have a 19month old baby boy. The only thing she asked was are you breast feeding and handed over the perscription. I hope it all went ok for you. Let us know how you do.

    I started taking mine Thursday 1st nov

    Hi. I am now taking the orlistat, It has been a week now not sure if i have lost any weight yet, no probs with side effects, god I hope this works!
