Wound problem

hi all - my wound was leaking at one week post op , then continued till i had dresssing change last monday . Dressing stayed dry all week , removed it this morning at 4 weeks post op so could have a shower then realised an arc of fluid was coming out of a central point in the wound - rest of the wound is fine and dry. Not painful and doesnt look infected but I wondered if anyone else has had a wound problem like this , and how long it lasted ??

Hi Glad you are going to see your practioner on Tues! Hope all is well! It doesnt sound "serious" as in infection, since the no fever, smell etc.You can walk 1 or 2 miles?! Wow super!I hope I can get to that agai! Im 16 days post op and happy to be walking a few times a day for 5 - 6 mins! ( I rememeber when I used to do a 7 min mile! HA!) well my 5-6 mins gets me a couple of long hallways in my apt building or aound my building outside. I try to do that 3xs or 4 a day for the last 5 days.Sounds like ur doing great, apart from the wound,Everybody heals different. Let us all know how it goes Tues K?! Continued good luck!

Hi - Ive seen Consultant , he says it just fluid collecting under the skin and should clear up , he is happy its not infected - but has done another blood test just to make sure. Ill see him again in 2 weeks time at which point he hopes it will have stopped . He also agreed I could ditch the TEDS now so a win !
