I wish my visit to A&E had gone this well last Saturday, I had a fall following doing the dishes and laned on the kitchen floor banging all of my right side and a bump to the back of the head. Ambulance trip to A&E followed.

Xrays showed nothing although I now have increased neck, Back (top, middle & bottom) Hip and shoulder pain. The shoulder pain is bad around my shoulder blade.

I was given a large dose of Morphine and anti sicknes and IV paracetamol. Left in bed over night and discharged at 7:10am although I started being sick at ^:00am.

While waiting for my wife I was sick a further 8 times and decided to check in to the emergency doctor who examined me and couldn't see in to one of my eyes, he instructed A&E to take me back and monitor me again. Following this I was in A&E and spoke to the Dr about my eyes and her response was they look ok from here. Discharged at 4:00pm after being re-hydrated IV.

No ceye test and not a lot of interest in my condition if I am brutally honest.

Glad that they took you seriously, Cherl, many places don't recognise Fibro, or they just don't know how to help.....my GP is like that now. He was very good at getting me referred, but now I have a diagnosis, he hasn't a clue what I am talking about when I go to see him, and I refuse to go back to the consultant. After all, there is no cure, there's nothing they can do, so I'm going down the natural route!!

This is going to sound very weird, but I began taking the Magnesium/D3/Calcium on Monday morning - and today I feel better than I have for years, I can't believe it!!!! I expected some relief, but expcted it to take much longer than this. My hands are less swollen, my back pains have virtually gone, and I actually managed 6 whole hours sleep last night. I am just hoping that this isn't all in my head and is going to change oncee I've been n the tablets for a couple of months or so - but I have actually been out shopping this morning, and felt like going ( notmally I have to drag myself out of the house ). My mood has lifted too, my head has cleared, and I'm actually smiling today!!!! Please God let it last...............

i hope so hun really do .i no the dissapointment of something working for a for a while then stopping .its so disheartning ,fingers crossed for you .

I really don't mind if I just get a few days relief, but I'm not overdoing it or taking anything for granted yet, lol. I'm just thinking and wondering whether I have been misdiagnosed, and if it actually WAS a vitamin deficiency all these years? If these tablets continue to work, then I guess it is.

i might even brave a try .of the combination ones because i believe that vitd  and calcium are constapating where as magneisum is has a laxative effect might balance each other out .biggrin

i just dread upsetting my stomach because it can take weeks to calm down. keep up what your doing and i hope it keeps working for you rolleyes.loads of luck .

I suffered severe IBS when I started with all the Fibro symptoms, years ago, and found out through sheer determination, that I was affected by caffeine, then when it flared up again in my 40's, I found I was intolerant to Dairy ( not just lactose ) . I still get the odd bout when I eat something containing Dairy, but after menopause, it's nowhere near as bad as it was unless I eat something I'm intolerant to, so I, too, was very sceptical about Magnesium/Calcium, and I tried Magnesium in January, when I was first diagnosed, but got instant stomach upset. I now take it with Calcium ( which i should have been taking anyway, due to my not having dairy products ), and I am finding that the two DO compliment each other. I've not had any stomach pains, no diarrhoea - nothing. Give them a go - at the very worst, you might have a bad stomach for a couple of days until they work out of your system, but at best, they might just make you feel much better. Good Luck biggrin
