wrist pain

ido but i thought it was just general arthritis. the pain clinic should offer acupncture it helps relax your muscles so that you dont tighten up and make things worse. it is hard to know what is cs and whats not, it does make you feel like a hypochondriac. i hope we help you with things .

hello aunty em and foxy, i am a bit mixed up today , for once,. i have kept my meds to a minimum so that the consultant could see how i am, dont get up your hope auntie em, it was for my shoulder. i have a frozen left shoulder and now i am experiencing pain in my right one. so i saw the consultant who told me it isnt a frozen shoulder but a impinged bicep, if anyone knows what that is?. so i am to have an op yet again, because as my shoulders play up my neck does as well, so i have been in pain a lot of the day but i think it is more to the weather than anything else.from my waist to my head i was in waves of pain, it was an evening appointment so in a time when i would be resting i was out taking three buses there and back. so to answer your question i havent been to the docs i dont know what to say anymore, i am going to try to cut down on stress and rest as needed.oh and to keep warm. so i hope everyone is ok this week, but were is gerry????

Still here Chris...thanks for asking. I took the plunge and got one of Em's cervical pillows and I have to say I'm still a little stunned by the difference it makes, especially in the mornings! I'm still trying to analyse it's overall effect and will report shortly...but, so far, so good. The main reason I've been off site is because my cat, Baba, got mugged pretty badly and he's been to vets and is wearing a collar and on anti biotics for a couple of weeks....very distressing...could have lost an ear, but I think he'll be ok. So he's got my total attention...and he's abusing it on an hourly basis! :blackcat:

Em, how's your pillow working out?

    Hiya Chris/Gerry, smile

Good to see you are around Gerry, don't be jumping ship now you've found the life raft

Chris, you are having a time of it gal, sending warm wishes your way for a speedy resolution to your problems, it's times like this I wish I had a magic wand smile

Er, regarding my pillow, weeeeellll, I've had a rough couple of weeks with a 'virus' that just wouldn't go, it set everything off. so I've been in a bit of pain and had to up my meds, it then settled in my sinuses, and has left me with vertigo, yuck!! Boy, if I'm not fed up!! sad But other than that I would say yes the pillow has helped me, I'm not saying it would help everyone but it has helped me, and Gerry's doing ok with it too. smile

    Hi Em / Chris,

Jump ship? Me? I don't think so. I'm like that guy on the Titanic, dutifully rearranging the deckchairs as the ship goes under!

Sorry to hear of your virus trouble...extra problems we don't need...hope your'e well (so to speak) soon. The pillow thing is good, but I'm still assessing. Chris, I'll send you some details ...I've changed my PC so I have to get info from old one. Will send tomorrow.

    Hi Chris,

Re the impinged bicep, I haven't had bicep problems, but I had surgery for impingement in my shoulder, from what I could make out from the specialist, the pain in my shoulder was separate from the cs, and was some sort of rotator cuff problem, which was causing inflammation, which in turn was causing the impingement, or trapped nerves and such. They sorted it out easily enough, the op stopped the impingement. Is that similar to what they think is happening with you? I hope they can help you the same way.

    Love Lou xx

Hi Chris, i have been diagnosed with an impingement in my left shoulder, they gave me a steroid injection to calm things down ready for physio. They mentioned if physio didn't help that they would be able to operate, i'm hoping it doesn't come to that , but, has it helped at all?

I originally went to doc thinking it was my CS causing problems in my shoulder and also numbness and lots of pain in my forearms, it turns out it's an impingement and carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. Sometimes i wish i could just get a new body!!!!

hello, angelicghost, my problem seems to be with my clavicle, not my shoulder. i see the neurologist next week on wednesday, so we will see what he has to say. i had an mri scan a few weeks ago, and it should show what is happening. i get hot waves of pain, pulsing down my arms and into my hands, there are days when i cant move my right arm at all. it feels like someone chewing on my clavicle, which is agonising. i will let everyone know what happens. thanks for your thoughts,,,,, chris xxx
