WTF is this pain?!

:wah: I broke my tooth, which so happens to be infected, it started off as a little tingle.......then over night formed into unbearable pain! Im just under 24hrs into my antibiotics and am high on Ibuprofen and Co-codamol! I'm hoping once the antibiotics kick in i'll be at ease some. My face is ever so slightly swollen :cry:

I'm having a root canal in 6 days so I'm hoping by the time the antibiotics kick in i'll be closer to having it done. Ive never felt so much pain in my life, and my dentist is so calm about it! :shock:

Any advice to ease the pain??

    Clove Oil should hit the spot, apply one drop onto the tooth so that it can sink through the cracks / pores, if that doesn't quite get it apply a drop onto a piece of tissue or cotton wool and hold it in your cheek against the nearby gum (note. It may burn your gum if you do this too often), if it works it's bliss :D

    Ok thanks a lot.........

    Its my 2nd Molar at the bottom and is pretty much open, it broke clean off, wont the clove oil get into the root?

    Yes that's the point, it anaesthetises the whole tooth and gum, you'll be amazed how well it works smile
