Oh Jamie - I feel you you, never comes as good news does it, even though in the back of your mind you know something is wrong.
I have Psoratic Arthiritis, to all effects same as RA, or thats what the rheumo tells me, also have double hip replacment due to OA, stenosis of spine which we all have to varing degrees in our 60's, and ruptered disc L5-S1, bulging disc L5-L4, and lessor bulging disc L4-L3.
Hip specialist told me in no uncertain terms to live with the problems I have rather than go down the surgery route, work with physio's and muscle building, and only as a last resort consider spinal surgery.
Physio and muscle building has worked with non-weight bearing exercises in the local heated pool, and given me alot of relief of pain to the point the last few months have not had to take any painkillers.

I was originally diag. With osteo when i was 22. Now 37, female, and my pcp is sending me to a doctor in Burgettestown, Pa. I'm in Wv but not far from Pitts. And my rheumy is in Pitts. I'm wondering and should probably ask separately, but I take a benzodiazapine for severe panic and GAD.
will neuro give me pain killers that will work, as I've been prescribed naloxone, with prednisone, also tried tramadol but those don't touch thipain.
😥😥😥

Sorry to hear that Jamie 😲I feel your pain. Feels like you've
Got someone else's share of pain.
OA follows along with RA, apparently it causes damage to your
joints. I am waiting for a knee replacement within the next 3
years but hope to put it off as long as possible,
It doesn't help you I know keep your chin up ( unless your neck is painful) 😉😃
Sorry couldn't resist that.
