i have been on xenical (orlistat) for nearly 3 wks n hav not yet losed any weight. im very constipated. i have to take lactulose. :? :?

    I think this means you're not eating enough fat, speak to Map helpline on 08007317138 & they will tell you more. If you register with them they will send you lots of info to help you along the way. You'll need your pack of tablets with you as they need the batch number.

    Hi Anna,

    I hope you dont mind me asking but I'm not losing any weight, however I am suffering from lots of oil. Have you experienced this at all.

    I was on these tablets a few years ago when the drug first came out, and I never got rid of the oily situation regardless of what I ate even low fat/no fat foods, thus being I had to stop taking the medication as this side effect was awful and ruined numerous items of clothing as no control over the flactulance and couldn't use anyone elses toilet due to the stain it left in the bowl (very embarrasing) .

    My experience of dieting and trying to loose weight has been ongoing for years but even if I was offered money to use these tablets I wouldn't, my attitude now is watch what you eat and when you eat it also portion control and exercise.

    Success being lost 3 stone not overnight lol but over the past 2 years. :lol:

    They do say slowly but surely is the best way to go.

Have you experienced this at all.[/quote:99748bd308]Hi laura this is ann thanks for ur reply, im new to all this computer stuff,so please bear with me. it has now been 3 weeks on xenical n i got weighed today. ive lost 8 lbs.im over the moon. my doctor told me i was very lucky to be one of those people to be constipated. n to take lactulose if n when required. when i do finally go the toilet it is very oily n it takes acouple of flushes to get rid of it. lovely to chat to u.please reply back n let me know how ur doing. x
