Xray on Lumbar Spine - Abdominal Pain. Does anyone know why?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've been having abdominal pain for about 10 years now. It's on my right side, in line with my belly button.

I've had test after test for this pain and always to no avail. I've accepted now that i'll never know what it is and perhaps it is an intolerance or just stress related.

But a doctor has now ordered a lumbar spine xray. This test has got me really nervous. I'm worried he's looking for something sinister and I can't stop thinking about it. I do not have any back pain and can't really understand why it has been ordered.

Abdominal pain could be due to IBS or due to Dyspepsia. No tests diagnose these conditions. You need medications that can manage your condition.

    Consult a gastroenterologist.
