YAG!!!
So in the name of being informed I looked at YAG video, quiet informative-
"Yag capsulotomy step-by-step narrated in plain English by Shannon Wong, MD 9-4-2016"
I was under the wrong impression that YAG laser just cleans up the capsule, like I clean a dirty window! Boy was I wrong lol So it basically rips open the capsule with IOL being held just around the edges. All those flaps just hanging and the broken bits just floating around!
Don't you notice those flaps and floating pieces all the time? Also does it not severely increase the chance of IOL popping out?

I know a guy, that was treated for pco more than 20 years ago, he has monofocals and monovision and quite good vision, he have never had any problems, I think it all sounds worse than it is.

Yeah it is quiet safe but hell quiet destructive when you think about it.

Yes, you are right, but back in the days people got blind from cataracts, at least today we have the opportunity to have a decent vision restored, and I am thankful for that 😃

I saw better with the cataract.
sorry I had it done.
Now I can have YAG and get floaters.
Believed it was safe.

Sorry to hear that, but was your cataract stationary, or was it changing for the worse? I guess in the end you really would have had no other choice?
I hope it turns out well for your after Yag.
Cheers

thank you.
I should not have done it.
Truly saw so much better before surgery.
Now going to different opthalmologists learning what I can and searching for one I trust.
I do not know if there are different lasers for YAG

That is what I have been told, that it cleans it like a dirty window.
But last opthalmologist consult I had, Doctor said I would have floaters which would clear up after a few months.
With your post about it ripping, not as simple as it sounded.
