I would wait. I apparently have level 2 PCO in one eye, but wouldn't know it if my ophthalmologist hadn't told me. There are definitely risks to YAG, including retinal detachment. One website says:

Complications are uncommon but may include retinal detachment, IOL damage, cystoid macular edema, increased intraocular pressure, iris hemorrhage, corneal edema, IOL subluxation, iritis, macular hole, corneal endothelial cell loss, and exacerbation of localized endophthalmitis.

So I have no plans to do a YAG unless the PCO actually interferes with my vision.

my optomerist says he know thousands of his patients that had YAG laser and he said none of them had a retinal detachment or any serious problems. yes thats a risk but l heard the risk is very small

THE Pco is early stage and has no effect on my vision, does PCO always progress and get worse or is it possible it may never get worse and l may never need YAg laser

I have not had it, but my thoughts are to hold off for as long as you can and be sure it really is PCO. I read a report recently that determined the YAG rate due to actual PCO is only about 5-8%. But, the actual YAG rate is much higher than that. The conclusion of the study was that many YAG procedures that are done, are not actually necessary for PCO.
