I think meds starting to work now but find I spend a lot of day trying to 'catch' my breath, overbreathing or, especially late afternoon, non-stop yawning. anyone else had this and will it pass? thanks

did you have these symptoms before taking the medicine? how long have you been taking the medicine

after suffering a major panic attack a month ago i havent been breathing right and have the same symptoms

i took lexapro for a month along with klonopin neither did anything to help

my doctor prescribed this medicine for me for my ocd as he believes i overthink about my breathing and this will help with my complusive thoughts

i just started taking this medicine today

hi George. no hx of overbreathing or excess yawning before, no significant hx of anxiety and not had panic attacks. Am on 30mg prozac for depression. been on it about 5 weeks now. was wondering if even the yoga I've started cd have caused it?

are you constantly thinking about your breathing or it just happens? if you distract your mind hows your breathing?

I don't know - I'm aware that it may be purely psychological/psychosomatic ... am trying to focus more on abdominal breathing and to not 'indulge' the need to yawn. Guess I'll see. thanks for your input

    hi Susie

I have been on Prozac 20mgs for 6 weeks now. I have noticed that I yawn a lot in the afternoon but this is soon remedied by a cup of coffee! I am just starting to feel it work and have a little more motivation and I have actually started to smile again.

I always breath faster when I'm anxious and I overthink it too. Maybe you're not normally anxious but the Prozac has heightened it?

I would give it a little more time - thats what i told myself for the last few weeks!

    Hope this helps

im on day 2 of prozac along with klonpin which the klnopin does nothing for me

im slowly getting of the klonopin

how long until most people feel positive effects of this medicine. im not really depressed i just have ocd and complusive thoughts as well as panic attacks that havent happened in over a month and actions how long for the drug to take its course?

the only physical symtpom i have is a need to manually breathe and yawn as well and take a deep breath of air

has prozac helped with this issue?
