Years of anal fissure and hemerrhoids - is there actually any hope of curing them?

It's been about six years now...looking at a glance at the posts on this forum, I see people reporting suffering from fissures etc for weeks or months so I don't even know if it's too late for me but, yeah.

I actually am actually at my wit's end. This pain is ridiculous - it's profoundly unfair too and from what I've read from other sufferers, it doesn't sound like the majority of us belong to the fried, processed, high in sugar, preservative-rich, fast food population. So what on earth ?!

Anyway, clearly I'm frustrated. So I'm 28, I exercise regularly, I eat little to no gluten, very rarely eat meat, eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, don't often eat unhealthy snacks etc, do yoga, meditate, spend a lot of time outside walking arou d. So it kinda feels like a slap in the face that these recurrent and basically always concurrent conditions persist.

In the past I have tried: anusol (hemerrhoids), that cream that stimulates blood flow to the anal region to promote healing (of fissures), organic coconut oil (internally and externally applied), anusol suppositories, banana peels, warm salt baths, smoke tree rinse etc. I drink loads of water too. And yeah - no luck!

In terms of consumption, I eat organic sauerkraut (packaged not in jars), drink kombucha, eat organic yoghurt and include organic apple cider vinegar in my diet. Other than that I just avoid known/personally discovered irritants wherever possible.

Can anyone please share their wisdom and expertise? It's severely impacting my quality of life and I'm at a point where I just feel to give up food entirely and just never have to pass a stool.

Happy anal issue-free New Year to all, I hope !

I've been quite pleased with the results of using Neosporin. Years of pain, avoiding intimate contac, avoiding walking. Now I just coat the area liberally every few hours after a bowel movement. I'm healing between movements and the severity of tears has been reduced. Not cured but way way better. I can live this way.

I too have suffered from the same nightmare, until I started taking a teaspoon of Metamucil every day with at least 8oz of water. No more hard stools which used to make my condition unbearable. Hope it helps, and I hope you find some relief.
