Years of problems with tonsils

I have had issues with my tonsils for as long as I remember one is rather larger then the other one and I have a few solid feeling lymph nodes in neck I have had this for over 5 years and I have back and forth to the doctors who have never done a biopsy and put it all down to anxiety which I am anxious I admit as they are very large and one takes over nearly half my throats they have done bloods and chest X-ray and a tumour marker should I just take what they say as it is anxiety and leave it I forgot to mention I  am 25 female and have suffered anxiety a lot in my life however this problem is something that bothers me a lot as I had hpv at 16 I'm not 25 and this was what I have been told the virus can cause cancer any information would be helpful thankyou

Thank you for sharing   Perhaps asking for a second medical opinion may be an option

Perhaps drinking more water may help

Maybe its enlarged tonsils. I was born with tonsils twice as big as normal ones and when i got a throat infection it was terrible. I would recommend getting them removed i feel much better without them

Hi yes the ent specialist said they are asymmetrical and that it's nothing to worry about just by having a look in my mouth how old was you when you had yours out im the same with repeat infections etc it always goes straight to my throats and I can feel my tonsils when I'm eating it's uncomfortable Howe we trying to get them to take them out they won't even though I have been several times is it because I'm 25 and not a child and operation carry a greater risk ? Xx

I was 16. Idk why my parents didnt do them earlier they recommended it since i was like 7. But they refused too cuz it would be too painful. But nope it gets more painful as you grow older. It was so hurtful. Your ears hurt you can't yawn it hurts so bad. I would cry. It was terrible it was more painful than my c section tbh! It just hurts more when your older

Yeah and when there enlarged and never go down they feel as though they are in the way it horrible the doctors are reluctant to take them out because im 25 and they said they aren't infected enough to warrant having them removed sad
