Yeast!

I know this is probably a question for the doctor, but I don't have an appointment for two more weeks. I gave myself a bad yeast infection by washing my menstrual cup in antibacterial soap. Don't do that, ladies! Very bad idea. Now I have taken a dose of diflucan and things are feeling better on the inside, but I have very bumpy, itchy skin right outside my vagina on my inner labia minora. It looks like tiny white sprinkles on it as well. In your opinion, does this sound like yeast, or has the LS spread? I just need to know which cream to put on it--antifungal or steroid--because I sure have made a mess of things!

Maybe apply one in the morning and the other in the evening to be sure!

You can take a tablet for the yeast infection which is a one off pill which would save doing the yeast cream.

In Australia, you can purchase them over the counter.

I agree, with Kathleen, maybe use the antifungal in the morning and the steroid cream at night. Just in case it is the Ls.

    Good Luck,

Thanks for the advice! I will try the morning/night regiment and see what happens. I did take the pill, so things have improved except for the outer parts are itching like crazy and have the strange texture.

LS and yeast have a love/hate relationship. I've had both for 40 years. They seem to stir each other up. I've never taken the yeast pill, but I do know we should never use the one-day or three-day melting egg cure. BLOWTORCH! The seven day cream with applicator is the way to go. I keep the leftover cream for when I have the first feeling of yeast (or a few white 'sprinkles') and apply a fingerfull externally and internally right away. Nips it in the bud.
