i have a cut right above the clitoris and a itchy rash around it. i made an apt with my ob but not until the end of the month. Can i use vagasil even though theres a cut for the itching?

there is discharge. kind of lime cottage cheeseimage

I dont think it can be herpes since i have HIV-1 cold sores and ive been told its not likely to have both.

Cottage cheese usually means something akin to a yeast infection. You can avoid that by doing what us Filipinos do. We do a manual bidet with a cup of water. I personally grab some mild hand soap, which dilutes as I wash myself. PAT dry thoroughly with toilet paper. Using toilet tissue alone will NOT keep you clean, and the leftover toxins from urine encourage bad bacteria growth. If you're out in public, bring some flushable wipes with you. Just have them ready before you use the toilet. Doctors all around have complained about how the average person thinks that toilet paper is enough to keep our bottoms clean.

Also, make sure what you use to shower with, such as a puff or wash cloth, is regularly changed. I stopped using puffs because water gets trapped in over the next day, and bacteria ALWAYS grows where water just sits over a few hours. We did our own lab tests in basic college science on bottled water overnight. It's gross. I've used a wash cloth hung in the shape of a rectangle so that it dries thoroughly, and rotate my washcloths every few days. If you end up washing your bottom with bad bacteria, just imagine what you're opening yourself up to!
