Yeast infection

ive been taking antibiotics for 2 weeks. Ive started noticing my discharge becoming more chunky and watery and feel a bit of itching so im assuming im getting a yeast infection and am thinking of taking suppositories. but the problem is last time i tried taking them i couldnt put them deep enough because it woukd hurt really badly and just wouldnt move. what can i do about that? are creams effective too? whats wrong? if it helps im 19 and a virgin
