Yeast Infection with Allergic Reaction or Something else?

Hello,

I believed I had a yeast infection due to the white dot discharge and itchiness. I waited two days before buying Monistat 3 day due to also having used a new brand of non-latex condoms and making sure I didnt just have an allergic reaction to the spermicide in it After the first day of using Monistat I noticed my outer labia was extremely swollen and I was very red within. It was very sore to the touch and worried me but I read it could happen so I continued to use Monistat. I finished treatment and by then I got two blisters where it really swelled up due to the stretching of the skin but my symptoms had disappeared. A day afterwards I noticed I had extreme sensitivity around my clit/urethra. I figured it was due to the reaction I had to the Monistat. The following day I developed a yellow patch like ulcer near there. And now it has gotten a darker shade of yellow. I dont have any other symptoms besides a white discharge and that with slight a slight itch that id compare to when a scab is being formed. Has anyone experienced this? I have photos throughout the days. Ive made an appointment with my gyno but theyre quite backed up due to recent events.

Any help is appreciated! imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage

That crossed my mind but the fact that the small blister on my labia healed within two days and wasnt accompanied with more led me to believe it probably wasnt. The yellow part is completely flat and not raised. And ive tried swabbing at it and it hasnt leaked or anything .

hey girl! i cant say for sure about your situation but i had a very similar experience last week! I'd never used monistat before but I used the One Day formula last week for a yeast infection. Not only did the medication cause more discomfort than the yeast infection (it burned and itched for about two hours after insertion) but The next day, my entire vagina was swollen and red. I didn't actually have any physical pain at that point but by day three the swelling went down and i could see that my skin on my lips was a bright pink color (i have dark skin so this is not usual lol). I did not get blisters like shown in your photos, but the skin around my vagina was so tight and sensitive that it had some fissure- like tears that bled a little when i wiped too hard after peeing. By day 4, the swelling and redness had gone down. Tomorrow will make a full week since i used it and things are back to normal down there except for the skin still being a different color. I definitely think I had a bad reaction to the monistat. I've used yogurt in the past for a yeast infection and after this experience with monistat, i'll probably only use yogurt from now on!
