Yeast Infections/Prolapse Surgery

Posted , 4 users are following.

I had Prolapse surgery in 2013, everything was going great until this past

?year.  I have had constant Yeast Infections and been on so much medications, the pharmacy loves me.  My lower back has started aching

?again, and I made a visit to my ob/gyn to see if I had a UTI or Yeast Infection again.

?She said I was fine, and just had some slight irritation, which I could treat

?with Vasline to keep it mild.  Since I'm so sensitive to many things, to

?use the this on my skin.  Well, I have been just  about crazy.  Has anyone

?exerienced any of these symptoms, and if so what did you do about them or what did your doctor recommend??  Thanks!

Irritation from what? Do you use a feminine wash only down there?

No I don't, I use a Ph balanced soap only. That's it.  If I used anything else

?I don't know what would happen.  Going to see my urologist tomorrow.

I 'm ready to pull my hair out.  Thanks for your input.

Oh poor you. The feminine wash products are ph balanced especially for down there, same as your soap is.

You could try using Canesten cream, the one for vaginal thrush or Canesten duo which also has a tablet to take. Can't think of anything else except to eat loads of live yogurt like Fage Total Greek style. (On a permanent day to day basis!) This works for me. rolleyes

Never heard of this cream, worth a try.  I'm going to my urologist tomorrow. I will discuss it with her and she what she says. Thanks!

Hi, I suffer from thrush too, I had a reprieve from it after I had posterior repair last year, after the op it disappeared for 6 months it was bliss, but now my front wall has failed so another prolapse and the thrush is back with a vengeance. My gyni says it's not linked but I'm not convinced. I take an antihistamine some nights to stop the itching other than that canestan cream. Occasionally take the tablet but at £8 a tablet can't do that every time I have a flare up! Take care x
