Yellow Discharge after Hemorrhoidectomy

Hi all,
I had a question and along that, you may learn a few things about my experience.
Pre-Operation:
I am 28 years old, and never had an issue with constipation. However, I do lift heavy weights which I believe is the cause of my hemorrhoids. I used to have like a circle shaped cluster near the an** for 10 years. However, it visits me once or twice every year for 2 weeks and disappear with no pain and no bleeding. Therefore, I did not care about it so much, it was sometimes itchy but not really something to worry about. However, it came back this year, but it became firmer and I experience pain for about 5 seconds whenever I switch position (i.e., from sitting to standing etc.). Hence I decided visiting a general surgeon to have a look.
The surgeon said "alright, so it seems that this pile is clotted and there is no way it could go without surgery and what you have here is classified as internal and external hemorrhoid". He then explained that it will be a "small wound" and you will be back to normal in a week or 10 days (everyone here knows that this is a big fat lie).
**During-Operation **:
I was lying down on my stomach, and I slept for some reason when the operation took place. However, it ha sbeen found that there were two internal hemorrhoids that have been removed. My understanding that they were not as advanced as the clotted one I came for in the first place.
**Post-Operation **:
It was extremely painful, and I had three pain killers (Panadol, tramadol, xefo) as a result of me just kicking the bed from pain.
I woke up feeling good! As the medication was starting to wear off, I could feel something big inside my an**! It is the packing that was removed 8 hours after surgery. God it was painful when they took it off.
The first BM was extremely painful with lots of blood. I had blood coming out with BM for about 8 days post surgery in lesser amounts each day. I still feel pain each time I have BM but not the same as the first 10 days. I have to say that the pain is less but somehow constant. One thing that improved is that the pain after the BM, which used to be extreme, has subsided and it only results in the area being more sensitive to the way I sit for a couple of hours after I have the BM. Then everything returns back to normal until I have a BM next day. Also that there is no pain before the BM, just a feeling of discomfort in the area.
Now, one thing that does not make me feel good is the passage of yellow discharge that has a foul smell is still ongoing 31 days post operation. I kept asking my surgeon about it (12 and 25 days after surgery), and he said it is normal. However, yellow discharge from the wound is a sign of bacterial infection. In response to this, the surgeon said that the wound is open, and the area is not clean naturally, so of course there is bacteria on the wound, but the wound is open and it will heal by itself so let it drain all the way. I also asked him why wouldn't he prescribe me an antibiotic, and he said it may result in constipation which will only makes your BM experience more painful than it is now so I do not see the point of doing so.
This is my experience so far, does anyone experience yellow discharge a month after surgery, is this normal? Also, when did it stop for you?
Thank you
