Yellow spot soft palate health anxiety

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi everyone, bit of background. I am 35 years old, female, ex smoker (I vape and haven't smoked cigarettes for 3 years) and a suffer with health anxiety. Otherwise healthy, not a great duet but run a few times a week and I am on the slim side. Not sure if I can add photos (would really help if I could!) But I have developed a yellow bump on my sift palate that has been there at least 3 weeks. It's It's, like the size of a pen tip, but because of my health anxiety I have jumped straight to the conclusion of oral cancer and can't seem to stop floating on this. My glands in my neck seem to be up slightly and my throat has started aching, as well as my ear on the side where the spot is, however I have no symptoms of a cold or virus. I'm driving myself crazy with worry, bit I'm also scared to go to the doctors because either they will have terrifying news for me or I will feel totally stupid wasting their time. I'd also like to point out that because of my health anxiety the aches and pains may well be "in my head" as in basically I can scare myself into feeling them. It's awful because I can never quite find the balance of when to see a go or not. Any advice or ideas what it could be would be great, thank you.

Ok and Hello I read your problems many times. Ive had general anxiety since 5 or 6.im 58. On your  Palate. meaning roof of mouth or around this area is generally a Node. which I have on my Thyroid. my gland on left side  there is a lump.noticed today it went down and when I swallow it hurts.ok this is about you.

I need to ask you if you put your head back. or lay down.do you have any dizziness??? this could be vertigo.its all inner ear.but if no dizziness.my entire family passed from cancer.do not put yourself threw any more anxiety,If its not seeping fluid or getting bigger, thats great, but to calm that anxiety go to your Pcp. tell him they will see the node or lymph node do a ultra sound or take a piece of it like they did mine.mine is in my thyroid i get it checked every 6 months if it gets bigger then they will take my thyroid out at the same time my Lymph node on left is like a ball. I did look up images of a yellow bump on sift palate. how long has it been there. maybe its just from something you ate. and it caused a small node. keep me informed and try not to worry I think your dealing with 2 different  ailments plus anxiety will make you think cancer right away. Im going for mine. my thyroid nodule came back the same.but the lump is worrying me like your's is, Please go and let me know.cause i have bad anxiety and think i have lympoma or leukemia its so hard not to worry. when and how long has this been on palate? My daughter is a R.N.So i do ask her advice. Good luck and keep in touch.

Please see doc . Or e/n/t specialist. Also sujjest ions of thyroid/vertigo. All can be tested. Your anxiety is making you think the worst it does it to all of us. I obsess about everything. But over years have learned if I must see doc . Don't google . You'll only notice the bad stuff. Did right to ask here there's always somebody similar who can reassure and realise your not alone??

Thank you both so much for your kind supportive words. I will definitely make an appointment with the GO tomorrow and put myself out of my misery. I'm just terrified they will have bad news, but I guess the being scared is not as bad as not knowing and ignoring something for it to just get worse and something bad happen because I ignored it. Thanks again, I will let you know 🙂
