Yellowing tiny horizonal lines across thumbnail

Hey all, I'm looking for guidance. I have had these weird multiple, tiny lines on my thumbnail and have had them for a few years. My thumbnail has always been bumpy , but it's gotten exceptionally weird lately. I have asked my doctor and she doesn't seem to know what is, and just accepts my speculation as fact. My nails have always been thin and easily torn or broken, but my thumbnail essentially shreds or crumbles (mostly where the lines are as it grows out). It can grow thick in spots and thin as paper in others. It doesn't look like a fungal infection, based on photos I've looked at online. My other nails are totally normal. I have eczema and just have assumed that must be the cause of my one thumbnail. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

It looks like damage to the nailbed making the nail grow like that. Did you used to bite your nails? or have you ever had any damage to that nail? Its not serious or anything to worry about but it will probably always grow like that.

I did bite my nails as a kid/teenager, which later I discovered I have anxiety. I don't recall any particular damage, I may have slammed it in a door at one point as a kid, but it never grew like this after. Thank you for your response!
