I know in past years there have been questions about flu jabs etc.

This time I have been offered flu and pneumonia...(which I had last December) my question is the doctor`s are willing to give both at same time....but I am very sensitive to any medication etc....and wondered does anyone else have these done separately and any affects from pneumonia jab?  I am ok with flu jab....

Thank you for any replies.......

hi linda  i cannot see why  it cannot be done different times.   but after saying that  the doc would  want to do it together  if it was not safe,   i have my flu jab every year at our local chemist,    but i thought  the pneumonia.

jab  was only once   for life,    can you put me  right on that please    x

Sorry everyone I haven`t explained properly,rolleyes....I had pneumonia last year, and yes, it a once only jab....but having side effects from so many things....just wondered if it was more advisable to have them separately.....being silly I suppose by wondering if I would be overloading myself!!

As far as I know, the original pneumonia jab was to be repeated after 5 years, the newer one is one for life. Either way, if you had one last year, you won't need one this year.

Hi Linda,I had both the flu and pneumonia jabs last year at the same time one in each arm.I thought the pneumonia was a one time only jab;I am only expecting the flu jab this time

I was told pneumonia only needs to be done once, it isn't an annual thing.  I had it last year, don't usually bother with flu shot.

linda17563, had both same time last year, while on Pred, no adverse effects. Good luck, think positive and keep smiling. 🙂
