    Hi pablo 24432

We note from a recent post which you have made to our forum that you may be experiencing thoughts around self-harm. If we have misinterpreted your comments then we apologies for contacting you directly. But if you are having such thoughts then please note that you are not alone in this, and there are people out there that can help.

If you are having these suicidal thoughts then we strongly recommend you speak to someone who may be able to help. The Samaritans offer a safe space where you can talk openly about what you are going through. They can help you explore your options, understand your problems better, or just be there to listen.

Their contact details are on our patient information leaflet here: https://patient.info/health/dealing-with-suicidal-thoughts, which also offers lots of other advice on how you can access the help you may need.

If you are having such thoughts then please do reach out to the team at the Samaritans (or the other people detailed in our leaflet) who will understand what you're going through and will be able to help.

    Kindest regards

    Patient

This is how i felt when I first found out, not suicidal but like I couldn’t be happy anymore. I’ve seen a psychologist about it today and am feeling a lot better! At the end of the day it’s a skin condition with a lot of stigma that a LOT of people have. Feel free to message if you want to talk, just remember you’re not alone and this doesn’t define you

Don’t feel so down about yourself, Believe me I know how you feel & I haven’t told many people but he people I have told have been supportive about it. I was diagnosed almost 2 months ago & I joined a support group online & honestly its really helped to have people who understand what we’re going through. If you want I can give you the info for it

Of course ! Go to lifewithherpes .com you have to sign up & then she sends u an email and you download this app called “slack” and u can ask questions, answer questions, talk to other people. It’s seriously amazing. It’s helped me so much! All it’s all free (u can pay for support group live chats or personal chats with the person who made the website) but u don’t have to, I haven’t.

And there's always us randos to talk to smile I've found nothing but beautiful support here. Of course some people here haven't had an outbreak but they are curious to learn. I laughed when after a year of ring diagnosed I needed some blood tests. My doctor called and said "I don't know how to tell you this but your results show you have HSV -2, do you know what that is?"

Yeah, my doctor hadn't checked my records. But its OK. We can all work together and beat the stuffing out of it.

Keep your head up my Dawg. I haven’t confirmed that I have it yet but when I seen those sores the other day I wanted to kill myself. I now understand what having Herpes can do to you mentally.
