young and stressed

Hi, I am 19 years old and have been living with this condition for over a year before I was finally given steroid creams for this condition in May of this year. I do not have a specialist appointment until June 2019, and I am worried about more fusing occurring in the mean time. Is there a way to stop the fusing occurring on the inside, or do only dilators help with that? I have switched to a paleo diet, as I find gluten and sugar to be my main triggers for flare ups. Unfortunately, I haven't really had any peaceful moments during these few months, and could not go more than maybe 4 days without applying the steroid creams. I would really appreciate some suggestions for other moisturizers I should use maybe instead of always reaching for the steroid cream to alleviate the intense itching. Any other tips would be very appreciated. It is hard being piled with work in a difficult program in university, and having to deal with trying to tame this condition at the same time.

t77, I got rid of my intense night itching by taking one capsule each day of one 400mg red clover and one 400mg of super bio-curcumin YEARS AGO.I also take a probiotic capsule once per day. BUT if you have an attack of itching I keep a damp washcloth in a plastic grocery bag in the freezer. I take it out and rinse with a little bit of cool water just to soften the washcloth. Extra cold helps me. I have been working on the fusion with first by cleaning with witch hazel and cotton pad ( does not sting or burn me and I use the one with alcohol ). Then I put on organic virgin coconut oil with some Dhea in it.I put a little oil inside also just using my finger. This way I DON'T have to do any kind of suppository. I do this twice a day-once morning and once evening after my shower. During the day sometimes I just apply coconut oil only. I am 63 and post menopausal age. I have had this since just after menopause started. You might be too young to try Dhea. Also I have read that steroid creams cause the skin to thin even more. I have started trying to unfuse only three months ago so I can't comment on success or failure. I guess I am just finally getting tired and fed up with a " Doc says 'I don't know' disease". Good luck to you!

You are young... but on the right tract...Emuaid max....wish it came in vat sizes!

Cold compresses help.... as does not wearing undies....when you do wear underwear make sure 100% cotton! A major breakthrough for many of us!

I eat gluten free. DRINK lots of water, eat healthy...etc.

What works for one may not work for all.....the key is to find what works for YOU and your body!

Hi Jane- I too was tired of paying $48 for 2 ounces, but the darn stuff works so well. I went on the Emuaid website and they hv a 16- ounce jar. It is regularly $300 plus, but was on sale for $288, Emuaid had sent me a coupon which brought the price to $244 ( US dollars) and I got  free shipping. I know it sounds like alot, but this way price per ounce was much less! They send me new coupons every week, so be sure to get in their e- mail list!

Hi there, I'm not sure how to go back into older discussions but someone wrote in that Aloe Gel, mixed with a few drops of TUMERIC ESSENTIAL OIL and I think a drop off lavender to?

I believe it may if been 1 tablespoon aloe to 3-4 drops of TUMERIC and maybe 1-2 drops lavender ?

Can anyone suggest how to find older posts?

Sending you a speedy remission 😊
