Young retina patients A SHOUT OUT &//

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hey everyone, this is just a shout out to all the young patients with retinal issues.

You have a long life journey ahead, with what you are going through, you may be scared.

I know what you’re going through and I know that many people can’t relate to you or try to be helpful-- with unhelpful stories of their elderly relative with a retinal detachment.

I am a high functioning Mac-off left eye detachee and want to help people cope, as well as swap stories about experiences.

I encourage all to seek advice from an Ophthalmologist not just an Optician (great for dispensing eyewear but please seek advice from a surgeon instead!) especially one whom specializes in retina / vitreous disease.

MUCH LOVE

shout out to the superhero Surgeons

That is true. My son 15 just suffered retinal detachment and buckle surgery 2 days back, He is one of the brightest students and now we are trying to figure how to resume school in max couple weeks. All blur and pain on and off, will see how things progress . One day at a time.
