Mines on my left in the middle not sure if it's due to damaged tissue or muscles .

The most common things that would cause such an indentation would be trauma to the area and subsequent fat necrosis, post steroid injection, or post surgery, which is a kind of trauma.

I did have some type of steroid injection for the pain. I bet that is what caused it. Thank you for your help!

Hi Yvonne, sorry you're feeling so sore, I don't have a concave or anything like it on my buttocks but I have suffered really badly waiting for over 2 years for my surgery that finally took place on 10th November last year! My main reason for sending this is to ask if your doctor knows you are bedridden as all the things I've read advise not to stay in bed you're better being up and about, it's difficult I know!

I was on the urgent list as well! I think it all depends on where you live, I'm Northern Ireland and our UK Health Service here is diabolical! Keep your chin up and keep pestering your Consultants Secretary for any news.
