Zantac

Hi

Ive suffered acid reflux due to a weak les muscle for about ten years. I have it under control at the moment with 1 & 1/4 lansoprazole and 1 zantac before bed. Thing is all zantac is off shelves at the moment due to it being tested for safety. What can i use just before bed? I know people use zantac to taper off ppi.

Thanks

Remember that acid blocking drugs will still allow stomach contents to slosh up the esophagus and could be inhaled while sleeping and cause coughing, lung infections even suffocation.

You can try my carbonated water treatment to strengthen your weak esophageal sphincter.

Buy 4 large 2 liter bottles of fresh carbonated water, flavored is okay.

Drink 6 oz of room temperature carbonated water, seltzer or sparkling water. Flavored is okay. Here is the important part: When you get the urge to burp, you stop it. Don't burp, hold it down. It may feel uncomfortable the first few times but soon you will be able to hold down the burp without effort.

The idea is to strengthen the esophageal sphincter. The job of the esophageal sphincter is to keep the stomach contents in the stomach at all times. It is usually in a closed position. For various reasons, the esophageal sphincter stops doing its job. Whatever the reason, strengthening the esophageal sphincter will solve the problem of acid reflux and the accompanying symptoms.

The exercise should be done 4 times a day to start, beginning with 6 oz of CW and 5 minutes per session and then adding 1oz of CW and 5 minutes per session each week. So by week 4 you should be at 9oz and 20 minute sessions.

A person will notice a difference within a week or two. Within a few months you will be able to gradually taper down to one treatment a week. I was able to remove the wedge I had slept on for years, now I sleep flat again.

You can also add organic probiotic yogurt 20 minutes before each meal with water to help balance you gut bacteria.

Thanks thats great and I'm going to try it. What times of day is it best to do the exercises?

Also, due to the weak les I've not been able to do sit ups for about 10 years and now have a very flabby tummy. Anybody know what exercises i can do to lose weight?

I don't think the time is very important, just make sure to separate each session by at least 2 hours.

As far as ab exercises go. The most popular new one is called planking. Look it up.
