Zinc and turmeric

Has anyone had any good results with zinc and turmeric? If so what is the recommended doses? I heard a lot of success stories but I also heard some horrible ones because of the zinc. I just started the turmeric capsules and plan on starting the zinc capsules as well. Has anyone tried this method?

    I personally have tried to make a paste and put them directly on my boils or pimples but honestly all it ever really did was make a mess. Since I was recently diagnosed I'm looking into it all so I have no previous experience with Zinc but have started taking them.

    I take both but though they have some benefits, they have not led to anything that could be considered a remission.
