zoladex

Hi, so I had my laparoscopy a month ago which confirmed endometriosis, cysts and adenomyosis. Surgery was unable to remove it as it bleed everything he touch it.

I saw him in clinic on Thursday and he said it was grade 4 on both ovaries and at the back of my uterus, lots of scar tissue on my tubes, lots of cysts between uterus and ovaries some where very big as well as the adenomyosis.

He said we had 2 options which were sit back and see how I cope or go on zoladex and have move surgery to try and remove it in a few months.

I opted for the treatment, I have coped for 4 years; no more please. I had my first injection there and then.

Where are people experience with zoladex?

Where is the worst side sffect you had with it personally?

Thank you xxx

Thank you for your reply. I'm having surgery again whilst on zoledex. Surgeon said it's the only time he'd be happy to try and remove it because the amount it bleed.

Can I ask how long it was after the first injection you started getting symptoms?

i started getting pain roughly around the time the 2nd injection was due. before zoledex i had the prostap injections in my arm. i have tricycled my contraceptive pill a few times which reduces symptoms slightly but nothing major. i had had 9 laproscopies all together so far. im seeing my consultant again next friday to see what the next plan of action is as this week the pain has been horrendous i have even taken tramadol and it only took the edge off. i know he is probably going to say another operation. it doesnt help that the top of my womb is squashed down slightly with adhensions. they joys of being a women eh
