Zoladex for endo

Hi

My dr has just prescribed zoladex implants for treatment of my endo. I would love to hear about different experiences while on this drug, the good, the bad, the ugly.

Thanks.

Hi. I've heard wonderful things too so please don't think my case is the norm but I really suffered with bad migraines on it so only had one off one month injection and didn't have any more. It took 11 weeks for my periods to return which was a bonus! Just be mindful that if on it any length of time you may get menopause symptoms as it blocks estrogen. Are you on it for pain or to try and prevent further build up after clearance from laparoscopy? I hope you find it works for you 😊

      Thanks for your response.

The idea for me is that is i get symptomstic relief from the endo (have bowel and bladder issues) then at the end of 6 months i will have a hysterectomy.

If i dont get the relief than i would likely be one of the unlucky ones that dont get relief from a hysto.

I was exactly same but had to take option of making decision without the zoladex because of the side effects but just the one implant did relieve some of the pain so opted to take it all ovaries etc anyway. I haven't looked back and touch wood will stay that way. Fingers crossed for some relief for you too.
