Zoloft 13 weeks - Update

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hey all, last time i posted i was doing pretty bad. It still isnt great but its a lot better. in the past 10 weeks, I havent had one day off work. In the past 5 weeks ive signed up to a sporting team and the gym. Also about to plan a holiday again that had to get cancelled because of all of this.. Ive now been on 100mg of zoloft for about 10 weeks and 13 weeks in total.

I hope there is more benefit to come, most days I ponder about my situation, I have headaches everyday and every now and then very brief moments of panic. Intrusive thoughts are less but can appear sometimes.

My doctor and physcologist dont believe the headaches are related to zoloft, has anyone had anything similar? My sleep has been pretty bad since being on zoloft, I sleep but I often wake up every 2 hours or so and my dreams are so vivid it sometimes feel like i get no rest at all.

Anyway, ill keep pushing, there are moments of normality and ill hold on to those. I refuse to let this thing ruin my chance at a happy life.

Honestly it happens so gradually, probably little bits of hope started to come through about week 10/11. Im on week 16 now and still improving.

How are you feeling now James? Have you stayed at 100mgs? What are you takung Sertraline for, and is it your first antidepressant?

      Sorry for all the questions!

Dont be sorry. I know all too well the feeling. Ive been on 100mgs for about 4 months now. Im taking it after a strong panic attack episode which sent my anxiety to new highs, it is my first yes. hard to believe im on them at all tbh.

Im living life fairly fine, some days are worse than others but it hasnt stopped me from living life. i think some of the side effects im having now are the main cause of the down days and i would really like to get off them in the next couple of months

      Hi Patrick

I'm actually doing really well thank you! The Sertraline kicked in for me about a week and a half ago, and I am back to feeling normal 🙂 I only hope it remains that way for a good while to come

How are you doing Patrick? Hopefully things have improved for you too.....🤞🤞x

      Hi Patrick

I started to feel a slight improvement in my anxiety on 100mgs and then when I increased to 125mgs I started to feel so much better. It took just shy of 6 weeks.

100mgs is still quite a low dose from what I can gather so maybe you need to increase?

I'm rooting for you.....hang in there!

      Hi Patrick

How are you doing? After having a great 9 days I have gone downhill again and anxiety is back. Not sure if it could be increase from 125 to 150 that I'm having side effects from. It seems that finding the 'sweet spot' on Sertraline can be quite difficult; all the meds I've been on before was just a case of taking a fixed dose and then 5 or 6 weeks later, bingo! felt better. But Sertraline doesn't appear to work like that.

I feel so disheartened and desperate. Thought I was through the woods and out the other side. Now I dont know what to think.

      Hope you're doing ok?

      Sam x
