Hi

I’ve been on Zoloft for many years now and has be great for my anxiety, I recently got diagnosed with PCOS and it has create me to have the start of type 2 diabetes, with a healthy diet and lifestyle it will help reverse it. My doctor put me on Metformin which helps my insulin levels, I have stopped taking due to not feeling the best, but the thing is now it’s brought back on my anxiety and panic attacks 😢 yes I’m still on my Zoloft and haven’t changed anything in anyway, I was told by numerous of doctors and even did some research if there is an interaction and no there is not. My question is why all of a sudden am I feeling like this? The more I try to just let it go I can’t, Is it me just being all paranoid, I had one panic attack the other day and since then I haven’t been able to shake it off.

Need some advise please help!!

Hi Emma, it could just be that the Sertraline has pooped out and stopped working. I was on 200mg for 16 years before and totally back to normal and just stopped working overnight. Psyc recommended adding Mirtazapine and after a while i am starting to feel normal again. I would recommend speaking to your GP about CBT and medication review. Best of luck X

Hi Emma, agree with Jon, it could have stopped working add to the mix your new health problems and your brain has gone into over drive, although not life threatening if treated correctly it is still a complete lifestyle change and something you need to come to terms with. I know my anxiety got much worse when my husband was diagnosed with diabetes, so lord only knows what I would have been like if it had been me. Again as Jon said go see your Dr and have a talk about where you go from here but I am sure given time and the right medication you will get back to normal
