Zoloft and Vyvanse

my psychiatrist recently switched me from paxil and Adderall to Zoloft and Vyvanse because i had been taking paxil and Adderall since I was 14 years old and I'm 40 now and thry stopped working for me so she started me on Zoloft 50 mg every morning and Vyvanse 40 mg every morning and she added a mood stabilizer called Toprimate because she said it might help decrease my anxiety and it's typical used for binge eater's to curb their appetite but I'm not a not a binge eater i hardly eat at all but the paxil made me gain weight and now I'm going through menopause for the past few years and that has slowed down my metabolism completely and i also have severe insomina so i have to take two different sleeping pills each night and one of them is an antipsychotic called saphris and it works very well but has also slowed down my metabolism. so i went back to my psychiatrist on December 4 and told her that my Vyvanse dose of 40 mg in the morning wasn't lasting long enough so she added 20 mg to take at noon or 1 pm and she also increased my Zoloft to 75 mg every morning and for two weeks i was feeling great and then every single day last week i had a migraine by 11 am and had to come home from my group therapy and lay down in bed in complete darkness with my packs and i had to get my husband to buy me some peppermint oil and tea tree oil to rub behind my ears and neck and buy me a gel eye mask that can go in the freezer. so i finally got so fed up with this that i called my pharmacist on Friday evening and told her everything that i was experiencing this past week since the increase in of the Zoloft and she told me that Zoloft and Vyvanse have a very severe Drug interaction and they should never be taken together and that i need to take my Vyvanse first thing in the morning and then wait at least 5.5 hours before i take my Zoloft which means now i have to take it at 1 pm every day now. now that I'm on this ridiculous schedule for my meds my anxiety is through the roof right now and I'm agitated and I'm crying all the time at nothing and i just feel numb and i have never in my life heard of anyone who has has had to take their antidepressant in the afternoon, it's either in the morning or at bedtime. i didn't Know that Vyvanse increased your seritonin levels like Zoloft does so basically last week i was starting to go through the early stages of seritonin syndrome and my psychiatrist left for the holidays on December 7 and won't be back until the middle of January and my next appointment isn't until next march. so I'm just wondering if it would be safe for me to take the lower dose of Zoloft ( 50 mg) and the lower dose of Vyvanse ( 20 mg ) so that I'd be able to take them both in the morning because i was perfectly fine when i was taking the two of them together at the lowest dose a few weeks ago and would it be ok if i just skipped my dose of Zoloft tomorrow at 1 pm and start taking the lower dose Tuesday morning with my lower dose of Vyvanse? has anyone else experienced this problem taking Vyvanse and Zoloft together? i never had this problem taking my paxil and Adderall together in the morning at all. maybe Zoloft just isn't the right antidepressant for me to be on. i think I'll just have to go to the er to speak to the on call psychiatrist and take all my current meds with me. I've had the same psychiatrist since 2013 and i absolutely love her and i cannot see her prescribing me two medications that are known to have serious drug interactions and to top it all off i have completely lost my sex drive which used to be in over drive until i started these two medications and i never had this problem with paxil but it just stopped working for my depression and anxiety so now I'm right back to where I was when i was 14 and crying my eyes out for no reason and no motivation to do anything and I'm agitated and I'm still getting headaches but not every day and i feel numb and it's almost Christmas and i don't even feel like leaving my house at all. there's got to be an antidepressant that doesn't have a severe interaction with Vyvanse otherwise I'll just go back on Adderall and I'm also wondering if if the mood stabilizer was causing my headaches last week as well as Zoloft and Vyvanse but i know i cannot stop all of these meds Cold turkey so I'll have to get to the hospital this week, hopefully, Wednesday morning, and talk to one of the psychiatrist and get this all sorted out before the holidays. so thank God i have my Clonazepam
